The church was built at the end of  12th century  in place of an oratory dedicated to San Marino, the stone -cutter coming from Dalmatia to escape Christian persecutions, as some paintings by Giorgio Picchi testifiy.

Remarkable the wooden choir dating back to the end of 15th century.

The church is now known by the local population as the Church devoted to Santa Rita from a statue of the saint dated 1925.

Getting there: City center by car: Motorway A14 "Rimini Sud" Exit; straight ahead direction Rimini centro for about 3 km. Useful parking areas: 1) p.zza Malatesta 2) Rocca Malatestiana 3) Ponte di Tiberio 4) Arco d'Augusto 5) largo Gramsci by train: from the railway station straight ahead (v.le Dante)upto via Castelfidardo by air: bus n.9 - bus stop Arco d' Augusto or Railway Station
